Personal project: Japanese textile art
I fell in love with the floral designs on Japanese fabrics, and it made me dream—what if the flowers bloomed beyond the fabric, into reality?

I think the fusion of Japanese geometric patterns and floral designs offers a beautiful balance of contrast. So I started by designing the fabric patterns, selecting classic motifs first, then incorporating floral elements above.

Flower Bloom
As a gift, I received a beautiful red Japanese tote bag and drew inspiration from its floral design. Since the Lunar New Year was nearing, I chose the Nami pattern, (meaning waves in Japanese) —known for symbolizing peace and prosperity—to complement the celebration.
